Trivia
- In the manga, Emi's fall upturned but in the anime, she falls in reverse position.
- In the manga, Kyosuke only mentioned Aunt Emi dying the way his father did. While in the anime, it's shown she fell down the stairs when she ran out of the room after revealing what happened 30 years ago to Kyosuke.
- Kogoro's vehicle is an Airstream 2002 Nissan Elgrand.
- The Opera song played by Kyosuke Haga is said to be Mozart - Requiem in D minor, K. 626, but it is not.
- This is the case that Conan poured a bucket of water on himself, before running into the fire, and instructed Kogoro to move the van under the window, and although Kogoro grumbled about taking orders from the little boy, he did it, and he only grumbled after he moved the van, so in short, he initially obeyed without question, and only while he was waiting for whatever Conan is planning to happen, then he began questioning. Because he had time to think after moving the van, but not before.
- Although Megure has called Kogoro the "God of Death" multiple times in non-canon, and even once in canon, such as in The Sullied Masked Hero case, this is the first time for him to flat-out call him "Harbinger of Death" to Kogoro's face. Even in The Sullied Masked Hero, it was more of a mumble, and not actually talking to Kogoro at the time. In this case, while talking with Kogoro, he actually called him "Harbinger of Death."
- This is Yukiko's first appearance since Head-to-Head Match with the Black Organization: A Dual Mystery on a Full Moon Night, although she only appeared in a flashback, when she was giving little Shinichi some music lessons.
- This is the case that when Takagi was another stand-in for the victim, he asked, "There's something going on. Isn't there?," since bad things have a tendency to happen when he is the victim stand-in, and he is getting use to it, and this time he almost fell out of a window down three stories.
- At the beginning of the case, Conan told Agasa about the area code of Tottori, 0858 may be the first four digits of the Boss's e-mail address, since he heard these 4 digits being dialed in A Course Without Protest, A Code of Stars and Tobacco, and from Vermouth off-screen in Head-to-Head Match with the Black Organization: A Dual Mystery on a Full Moon Night, and she added the word "Boss," when she hit send.
- This is another case that showcased Conan being tone-deaf, however it also showed that he does have perfect pitch. At least in regards to knowing the digits of a cell-phone of 0858 do make the sound of the actual musical notes of H-A-G-A on the musical scale. He also knew that the were "Si-La-So-La," as in the Do-re-me song, I think.
