Conan and Haibara go to intercept an assassination by Pisco. They fail to stop the assassination, but Conan discovers that Pisco must be one of the suspects with a purple handkerchief. One of the suspects is Chris Vineyard, 29 year old American actress. Megure holds all the participants with a purple handkerchief for questioning, including Chris Vineyard. To help Pisco out, Chris gives Pisco her purple handkerchief. When Pisco returns to the room where Haibara is and confronts Conan, Conan suspects Pisco had help from someone else at the party, although he doesn’t know which person it is.

Goals

  • Update Silver Bullet, APTX 4869, and Vermouth's aging issue page with new information from 948 when the source and an accurate translation becomes available.
  • Gather pictures of the hotels in the manga for for the Baker vs Beika and Haido vs Hyde. There is a strong case to be made for the anglicized versions, esp Genta's stalker case where the culprit tries to drop a giant R in from BAKER on him. Pictures of hotels can be found by going to the setting page and looking at the map to chapter appearance. Several hotels appear in later Sera cases.
  • Add information from interviews and guidebooks. [1]
  • Clean up Shinichi's article to prep for featuring.
  • On Conan's page, talk about Conan's tendency to drop his kid face and make impulsive choices when faced with the Black Organization or Ran
  • Higo and Ai connection if it isn't already done. May need to make main article for him.
  • Update for the Kohji murder case. BO pages' modus operandi needs to be updated to reflect Amanda's assassination, Akai's past, Silver Bullet and APTX 4869, a new page for the "other drug".
  • Cut down number of pictures in Shinichi_Kudo_and_Ran_Mouri/Gallery. Is ridiculous.

Oversights in Detective Conan

Wouldn't work reliably in real life

  • All of Blush Mermaid. I give some pass to Kid cases because they are kid cases, but really now. I made a post explaining the (lack of) science of this at DCTP/DCW.
  • The timing of the weight drop attached to the minute hand of the clock. It could slip off early because the hand is facing nearly downward a minute or two before, and breezes are unpredictable.

Never resolved

  • Who saw Scar Akai at the department store and reported it to Gin? (red shirts)

Under consideration

  • Why was the increasing spacing of the demon dog's footprints brought up? (Demon dog case)
  • Why was Conan's cellphone stolen in the kite flying case?
  • Recheck solution in steamy relations, may be over complicated.
  • Mental exhaustion to forget spelling unreliable in Optical illusions case?
  • Yukiko's Tosa accent became her home place of birth
  • Shinichi's bathroom door changes sides
