Ushiwakamaru

Hello. When you blocked Ushiwakamaru the reason you gave was Just found out all his other accounts on different versions of Wikipedia were blocked indefinitely due to sockpuppeting and vandalism. We shall do the same here and I don't want to see them back here. but it looks like there is evidence they have 0 edits in ANY language version of Wikipedia, as can be seen here. Let's assume they are Ushiwakamaru1192 as well: three edits, and in both cases: no blocks. Please revise your block to give it a truthful reasoning or I will lift the ban in 7 days. We can't block someone indefinitely with a reason that seems to be objectively not true.--Mario-WL (talk) 14:30, 10 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello again. Urgent request to answer me, as I don't want our administration team said to have been blocked a user baseless. Please only block users that do harm to DCW and give a meaningful reason so the team and everyone outside the team understands your actions. Hello Mario-WL. Sorry for the late reply. Work is taking quite some time recently. Here is some sufficient proof. The user on WP is Ushiwaka1189 (blocked 03/22) in the Italian version of Wikipedia. The user in question has done a lot of vandalism, gatekeeping, revert of edits from other WP users and editing wars, as well as a wide-ranged serial creation of sockpuppet accounts :

• User:Trottapiano (07/21)
• User:Inufan (01/19)
• Others for a total of 38 acc. blocked (see Category:Sockpuppets of Inufan)
• Most recent offense was with User:CanarinoMaltese created in June 2023 and User:Dalben85 in July 2023. Multiple vandalism edits with different IP addresses (I won't pull them up for you because it's a painstaking task but if you want I will pull them up). A few instances on WP:JP which I can also link to you if required.
• I asked him back last year or 2 years ago (when IPs were still allowed to edit on DCW) to create a perm account and he never replied, and now I understand why.
• A quick IP search puts all edits in the same region in Italy and consistent editing style and comments in edits confirm that it's the same user.

In conclusion, there is more than enough proof to back my claims. Other than the sockpuppeting, here are my reasons for not wanting his return :

• Editing wars with other users (mainly me, but also BOBO among others and others that have left including Gemyin)
• Refusal to admit wrongdoing and constant reverting even after approval from you (mainly removing case character stubs)
• Consistently removing galleries, trivia sections and images in trivia, references from the manga (mainly in appellations and background sections of character pages)
• Putting false information that he constantly tweaks around and removes and adds back again (unverified names of police detectives, false relation between one-case characters due to paintings reappearing, etc.)
• Asking users to do things for him and making it seem like it is most important priority even though it's not (I doubt the wife of Benkei is really important and relevant information). This is less of an issue and more a personal peeve because in a free-of-speech website he can 100% ask whatever he wants to others. Still annoying though.
• Consistently spending my time on the wiki having to revert his edits and I don't want to spend my time just doing this.
• Constant blocking and unblocking after promises that always end up broken.

I hope this is more than enough arguments to not let him back on the wiki. I've had my fair share here and I've had enough. Please assess the situation and make the choice you think is right. Thanks Mario! --Nakamura ^talk 04:38, 17 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello Nakamura. I should have never be doubtful, but to me the short block reason just wasn't enough to understand the situation in its completeness. I am now convinced you did what you did with the best for DCW in mind. Thank you for your helpful, valid and specific explanation. In the future, please try to only use block reasons for actions that occured within this community, because they are more easily understandable and because if we banned everyone that made something bad somewhere in the past noone would be able to get a second chance or even be able to edit, as I am sure most of us (myself included) aren't perfect editors or even perfect humans for that matter.
