Biography
Tomomi Ikeda was originally affiliated with Studio Wanpack. Ikeda joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2004, with her first work as key animator in Episode 348: Love, Ghosts, and World Heritage (Part 1). In 2009, she began to serve as key animator within episodes done by Studio Wanpack.
Starting Episode 591: The House with the Aquarium, Ikeda took over the position of regular episode director for Studio Wanpack from Masakazu Yamazaki, at first she collaborated with Yamazaki when directing the episodes, then she did the work by herself. It was until Episode 703: The Jet-Black Mystery Train (Intersection) that she stepped down, she then did key animation erratically afterwards.
In 2024, Ikeda participated in the production of the Detective Conan movies for the first time.
