In 2006, he joined Anime International Company (アニメインターナショナルカンパニー). After he had done the key animation work of the anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST) in 2009[Note 2], he quit Anime International Company and became freelance (yet he is presently affiliated with WIT Studio[4]).

In 2023, he received the "Okawa-Fukutani Award" at the Niigata International Animation Film Festival for his directed work Inu-Oh (犬王), where he was the chief animation director[6].
Kameda joined the production of Detective Conan in 2022, for which he first worked on the production of the openings and endings of the spin-off stories of the series: Zero's Tea Time and The Culprit Hanzawa.
