Masaki Abe (安部 正己 Abe Masaki ), also known as "アベ正己", is a Japanese animation director and key animator. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography
Masaki Abe was originally from animation studio Otogi Productions (おとぎプロ), and is currently a member of the Japan Animators and Directors Association (JANICA)[1].
In 1980, Abe established animation company Anime Spot (アニメ・スポット). Later on, he worked under the company and joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2007[Note 2], starting with Episode 478: Real 30 Minutes. Thereafter, he served as animation director on a regular basis. Until 2009, when he stepped down and only drew key animation for the series irregularly. In 2012, after finishing the key animation of Episode 667: Wedding Eve (Part 1), Abe quit the production team.
In September of the same year, Abe led his company members and transferred into Studio Elle (スタジオエル). On the 12th of June, 2013, his company Anime Spot went bankrupt.
