+ | The car speeds through the barren, snowy streets of Kenbashi as the two thieves discuss where to dispose of Conan and Agasa. The woman asks why Conan didn't report them to Inspector Yamamura, to which Conan responds it would've delayed his meeting (with Vodka). Noticing that he's close enough to his destination, Conan uses his Stun-Gun Wristwatch to knock out the driver before pulling the gear shift to halt the car. After deducing the woman's gun is fake, he uses his Anywhere Ball Dispensing Belt to produce a giant ball in the backseat, immobilizing the woman. With the two thieves dispatched, Conan instructs Agasa to call the police while he heads to meet the Black Organization.<br>
+ | Vodka is seen exiting his car, ordering his men to secure the area. He heads down to coin locker 0032 but sees no one. Annoyed, he pops a cigarette in his mouth but then notices Itakura's check stuck to the coin locker. He opens the locker and sees the software disk, its edges secured with tape. He spits out his cigarette, takes off his glove, and begins to remove the tape while an ecstatic Conan eagerly watches. Suddenly, a gun pressed up against the back of Vodka's head; it's Gin. He's displeased that Vodka bent the schedule in Itakura's favor and even failed to kill him after the exchange. Vodka explains the situation and hands his superior the disk. Gin immediately sees through the tricks, stating that the disk was taped shut to harvest Vodka's fingerprints. He additionally deduces that someone intended to take Vodka's discarded cigarette and identify his blood type. And most of all, Gin uncovers a Transmitter stuck inside the disk. <br>
+ | | ||
+ | Gin further deduces that it wasn't Itakura who communicated with Vodka, as people with heart disease are weak to sudden temperature changes and wouldn't travel to the Gunma snow mountains. He believes Itakura must've hired someone, but based on the slight warmth of the disk cartridge, the person who placed the disk must still be near. Conan panics as the two agents close in on him, leaving him with no choice but to hide in a coin locker. The two men turn the corner but find no one. Vodka suggests they look elsewhere, but Gin begins to open coin lockers; however, he soon stops after considering that a grown man can't fit in such a place. <br>
+ | As Conan debates what to do next, he slowly loses consciousness due to the lack of oxygen. He wakes up to see his coin locker creak open, but to his surprise, it's Haibara on the other end. She explains she found him using the spare pair of Criminal Tracking Glasses. Wasting no time, Conan speeds out of the station and scans the crowded city-scape, realizing hours have passed. While he explains his actions to Haibara, Akai Shuichi passes the two. He intently examines Haibara while listening to the news of Itakura's death. By the time Haibara turns to look, Akai has already disappeared into the crowd.

+ | Ayumi stands mesmerized by the beautiful Hina dolls lining the storefront. Mitsuhiko shares the many misfortunes faced by one of Ayumi's Hina dolls, leading him and Genta to believe they're cursed. Ayumi feigns sadness before revealing she knows someone who'll let her decorate the seven-tier set. Additionally, she'll get the set if she manages to decorate the set correctly without looking at any reference material. Seen as they're near their apartment, Ayumi suggests they visit.<br>
+ | The Detective Boys visit Setsuko Kanno and her mother-in-law, Yayoi Kanno—Ayumi's associates. The Detective Boys—led by Ayumi—proceed to decorate the seven tiers, Genta unamused by the task. Conan proves knowledgeable about the dolls, despite being a boy. He explains that Ran used to enlist his help in decorating when they were kids. <br>
+ | Haibara shares that this is her first time touching Hina dolls, as she was whisked to the United States when she was young. Her sister, Akemi, apparently owned dolls but sealed them away after their parents passed. Conan then asks how her parents died. She says they were scientists and the organization claimed they died in a lab accident. While her mother isn't well known, her father, Atsushi Miyano, was infamous as a man kicked out of the science world: labeled a "Mad Scientist." Conan, spooked, demands Haibara tell him what kind of drug they're making. Haibara turns to him with a menacing look, stating, "A drug that'll resurrect the dead." Seeing Conan express a mix of shock and fear, Haibara assures him that the drug she was making was different, "a silly drug which is worthless to the vast majority of those on earth... just like Hina dolls—only having value to little girls in this small country." <br>
+ | Ayumi passes Yayoi's test and get's the keep the Hina dolls. As the boys pack up, two men approach the residence: Mizutaka Tsumagari, a neighbor, and Yoshiharu Mie, an appraiser. Tsumagari wishes to buy the hanging scroll which portrays Raijin, which he claims is worth twenty million yen. Mie further states that the scroll isn't preserved properly and loses value by the day. However, Yayoi remains adamant about not selling the scroll. The two men decide to return later and consult Setsuko's husband. Setsuko turns to Ayumi, suggesting she stay here for the holiday. Ayumi agrees, stating that she wishes to take another picture later. <br>
+ | Setsuko realizes that she has business to attend to, so Ayumi volunteers the boys to go grocery shopping. On their way back, the boys run into Mie, who states he came to retrieve his phone, which he left in the living room. The group opens the door to see the house has been ransacked, with Yayoi nowhere to be found. Ayumi heads to the room with the Hina set, and the set remains untouched, to her relief. However, the hanging scroll is missing.
− | === File 385 - Ayumi's Worry === | + | ==== File 385 - Ayumi's Worry ==== |
+ | Mitsuhiko goes to call the police but sees Yayoi enter. She had gone to the store to get sugar. Setsuko, who had forgotten her wallet, also returns, shrieking when she sees her ransacked living room. Tsumagari also soon arrives, worried about the scream. Inspector Momose soon arrives to investigate the scene. He determines that because Yayoi left at 15:30 and the Detective Boys returned at 15:40, the apartment was vacant for a ten-minute window. Momose also believes the thief entered through the balcony, but Conan states that because a FAX machine was printing documents throughout the ten-minute window, the thief wouldn't get a sense of when the apartment was empty. Additionally, if the hanging scroll were the thief's target, they wouldn't have ransacked the whole house. Finally, the only reason someone would steal the scroll is that they know the value, which only a select few people do. <br>
+ | Though the obvious suspects are Tsumagari and Mie, Setsuko and Yayoi could also benefit from insurance claims. With all four individuals lacking alibis and having motives, the case becomes a conundrum. However, Conan states the key lies in the Hina doll room. The group goes there to see several of the dolls' positions altered. Mitsuhiko points to Tsumagari as he doesn't know the correct positions of the dolls, but Conan disagrees. Only two of the four suspects are capable of the crime, but he doesn't know why the thief repositioned the dolls. Ayumi notices that the sun will set soon, deeply upsetting her. She encourages Conan to solve the case, mentioning "the stairs." Her words spark something in Conan's mind, and he claims to have solved the case. Ecstatic, Ayumi goes to alert the police.
+ | | ||
− | === File 386 - Stairs in the Setting Sun === | + | ==== File 386 - Stairs in the Setting Sun ==== |
+ | After notifying Momose about the solved case, Ayumi goes to check the sunset. Haibara sees her and compliments her on the idea. As Ayumi runs back, Haibara gazes at the sinking blood-red beauty, wondering how many more times she'll get to see it. <br>
+ | Momose arrives at the Hina doll room, where Conan explains that if the Hina set were hit with such force that the top two dolls fell over, the other dolls would've also collapsed. The perpetrator must know the proper decoration method because only two dolls are misplaced. In addition, the positioning of the top two dolls wasn't exactly wrong either, as the order of dolls the thief presented was the original pre-Meiji era order—later switched after western influence.
+ | <spoiler> | ||
+ | | ||
+ | Since the culprit must know the order, the thief is either Yayoi or Mie. Yayoi would know the old order as that was the proper positioning when she was a child, and Mie would understand because he's an experienced appraiser. Conan credits Ayumi's hint: "The Stairs." The hanging scroll was hidden beneath the seven-tier setup on the steps. The culprit must've intended to retrieve the scroll after the police left and the only person who could do that is Yayoi Kanno.<br>
+ | The Motive:<br> | ||
+ | Yayoi explains she intended to reveal the hanging scroll to her son and tell him not to sell it, as it is the Kanno Family's guardian. The family initially had both the Fūjin and Raijin scrolls, and Yayoi's husband coined it as their guardian. When the family moved to the apartment, Yayoi had sold the Fūjin scroll to pay for their troubled finances while her husband was away. Yayoi believes that as a result, her husband's ship capsized on the way home. In a way, she viewed each stain that grew on the Raijin scroll as a potential family catastrophe from which the family guardian had protected them.<br>
+ | Hearing Yayoi's story, Tsumagari immediately retracts all offers to buy the scroll, and Mie states he'll return another time to showcase some basic scroll preservation methods. The police also leave as Yayoi committed nothing that could be considered criminal.
+ | </spoiler> | ||
+ | | ||
+ | Yayoi offers to pack the Hina dolls, but Ayumi refuses, as she accepts Yayoi's philosophy of guardians taking damage to save their masters. She vows to reuse her old family Hina dolls no matter how damaged they may be. With the case solved, Ayumi goes to take her photograph by the stairs. She instructs everyone where to sit and to face the sunset. As Setsuko goes to take the picture, she notices that the frame looks like a recreation of the Hina dolls. Soon, a fight breaks out over who gets to represent which doll, and a very chaotic photo is taken.

+ | Conan grabs Ayumi's shoulders, smiling at her and thanking her. She blushes and gets a big grin. She says to herself that the only Hina doll that she wanted was Conan. Later in the case, Ayumi sets up the DB on a staircase so that they look like Hina dolls, with her & Conan would become the empress and emperor in the photo.

+ | Nichiuri TV has invited the Sleeping Kogoro to appear alongside the Teito Professional Wrestlers on one of their programs. In one of the corners, Naomichi Mugikura quizzes Kogoro, seeing if he can deduce which of the presented wrestlers is "Wolf-Face." Kogoro answers correctly. The detective is unamused by the childish nature of professional wrestling, but Ran says she's interested, remembering a particular wrestling move that her club mates performed but has forgotten its name. The three seat themselves in the stands, where they are soon treated to an exhilarating spectacle of athleticism. Kogoro's apathetic attitude melts away as he joins the boisterous crowd in cheering for their favorite wrestlers. During a transition period, a wrestler named Takaharu Ogami appears behind the three and reveals himself as Wolf-Face, shocking Kogoro and Ran. He pulls out a board and pen and asks Kogoro for a signature, explaining that his girlfriend is a fan of his. Kogoro agrees but asks why he wears the mask. Ogami responds that he doesn't make his loved ones, especially his girlfriend, worry. Hearing his words, Ran buds into the conversation, stating that his girlfriend probably "wants him to tell her the truth," reminding Conan of how Ran "wished he was Shinichi ." Ogami states that "his identity will be revealed when his character, Wolf-Face, dies," a quote that resonates with Conan.<br>
+ | Mugikura interviews another wrestler, Hyota Nagase, who's slated to be Ogami's opponent in the main event. He expresses confidence in his chances and insults his colleagues for their unattractive faces. He steps into his room and phones a rival wrestling league, revealing that he intends to cheat and destroy Wolf-Face's reputation, which will crash Teito Wrestling's ratings. Unbeknownst to him, a silhouette stands outside his door, listening to his words of treachery.<br>
+ | The main event has finally arrived. The crowd roars as Wolf-Face parades his way down to the ring, but his opponent, Nagase, isn't there. The other wrestlers go to his room and discover him dead, stabbed through the chest. Conan, who happened to be in the area, enters the room and hears a buzzing noise. He notices a camera hidden in a bag still recording. He plays the footage, showing that Wolf-Face had murdered Nagase. Back at the ring, the esteemed wrestler climbs atop the turnbuckle and hoists his fist in the air as thousands of adoring fans cheer him on.

+ | | ||
+ | The match's cancellation is announced to the crowd of disappointed fans. Juzo Megure and Wataru Takagi soon arrive and begin investigations. They start by reviewing the footage captured by the hidden camera. They learn that the perpetrator wore Wolf-Face's mask and appears to be a man who shares the same build as Nagase. Megure then asks for all wrestlers who fit the description. In the meantime, Megure, Takagi, and Kogoro decide to watch the footage in detail, hoping it shows the killer's face. Unfortunately, the camera didn't record any incriminating evidence. Still, they observe that Nagase cut the mask's right eye during the skirmish, and the culprit constantly had to look around, eventually falling down before leaving. They figure the culprit exited the room by posing as a wrestler who sustained injuries from a match. They also figure out the time Nagase was killed, 19:20. <br>
+ | The suspects are brought in: Iwao Ushigome; Hiroyuki Sakuma; Wolf-Face, Takaharu Ogami; and Nega-Wolf, Leonardo Rossi. They're all asked where they were at the time of the murder. Ushigome and Sakuma say they were watching Kiba's match but have no alibi as they watched alone. Wolf-Face and Nega-Wolf comply with Megure's request to remove their masks, shocking Takagi — who shows himself to be an avid wrestling fan — with their identities. Takagi is mainly confused by how Ogami could appear alongside Wolf-Face if that's his alter-ego. Ogami explains that Sakuma doubled for him in those situations. Leonardo states he also watched Kiba's match alone while Ogami was privately preparing for his next match. With all four suspects without an alibi, Megure wishes Nagase had left a dying message. Hearing this, Ran remembers that the wrestling move she was interested about sounded similar to "dying message." Takagi suggests multiple moves, but Megure scolds him for getting side-tracked. <br>
+ | Conan notices how the Wolf-Face mask is tied at the back and gets an idea. He rushes back to the crime scene and rechecks the footage. Kazunobu Chiba enters the room with the forensic results for the mask and nail. The blood on the mask matched Nagase's, and the only hair found in the mask came from Ogami. In addition, the forensic department also studied the tissue sample under Nagase's nails, but the results were inconclusive. Conan, however, believes he found the killer.

− | === File 389 - The Man Who Can Never Be a Wolf === | + | ==== File 389 - The Man Who Can Never Be a Wolf ==== |
+ | Conan asks for Kogoro and Megure to reexamine the footage. The two men notice that the design on the mask's back differs from what Ogami usually wears for his matches. Takagi states that it's the original mask Wolf-Face wore, leading Kogoro to conclude it isn't relevant to the investigation. While he turns to beat Conan, he's shot with the Stun-Gun Wristwatch and collapses to the table. He starts by asking all four suspects to be brought in. <br>
+ | Seeing the four suspects enter the room with Mouri Kogoro, the surrounding press believe the Sleeping Kogoro Deduction Show had commenced. They push forward and demand they be let in, trapping Chiba and Ran outside the door.
+ | <spoiler> | ||
+ | | ||
+ | Inside, Kogoro asks the four men to wear Wolf-Face's mask and approach him. Ogami, Sakuma, and Leonardo complete the task successfully, but Ushigome has difficulties, as seen by how he constantly looks around before trips and falls. Kogoro states the Wolf-Face mask limits peripheral vision, and only an experienced wrestler can walk in it. The other three wrestlers have that experience, but Iwao Ushigome does not, just like how the killer in the video displayed inexperience with the mask. Kogoro further concludes that the killer wore a second mask beneath the Wolf-Face mask. By doing so, Ushigome managed to stop his hair from getting on the top mask, and Nagase wouldn't be able to cut into his skin when he ripped the mask. The nail in the coffin comes when Conan discovers the second mask used in the murder stuffed in Ushigome's pocket. The mask has blood stains under the right eye, just like in the video. <br>
− | === People === | + | Megure and Takagi try to arrest Ushigome, but he easily dispatches the two officers. He continues to knock down Sakuma and Leonardo before capitalizing on Ogami's weak leg by hitting it with a chair. Ushigome laughs maniacally, revealing that he intended to frame Ogami and become the new Wolf-Face. Conan appears behind the wrestler, stating a man like him could never do such a thing. Ran notices a peculiar noise from inside the room, and as she peaks in, she sees Ushigome choking Conan. However, she performs her wrestling move on Ushigome, knocking him unconscious. Seeing Ran's move, Ogami utters its name, "Shining Wizard." Ran is delighted to know the name of the move finally.<br> |
+ | Ushigome is thus expelled from the wrestling league and arrested.</spoiler>
+ | Kogoro sympathizes with Ogami as a rough road lies ahead for him and his league, but Ogami replies, "Wrestlers are tough," before leaving. A few days later, Ran explains Wolf-Face's matches to Sonoko, almost accidentally revealing his secret identity.

+ | Heiji and Kazuha are chained in manacles, trapped in the dark attic of a criminal's house. Two men enter the room and throw down a beaten man (Kusukawa) in dire condition, making him an example of what would happen if Heiji doesn't solve the riddle he's given. However, Heiji seems relaxed, as he knows someone will soon come to save them.<br>
+ | At the Mouri Detective Agency, Conan and Ran worry about their missing friends and eventually decide to look for them. Ran recalls the two planning on stopping at the Haido Detective Agency to talk to Detective Kusukawa. He was a former officer under Ginshiro Toyama and recently sent a letter asking to meet. However, the detective suddenly stopped responding, prompting Toyama to send his daughter and Heiji to check on him. Kogoro decides to call the detective agency, but they inform him that Kusukawa has been absent for about three days. <br>
+ | The group heads to Kusukawa's residence but finds he's not home. Conan notices that Heiji's trademark cap left a mark on the door, showing he was here recently and was waiting for Kusukawa. He additionally notices tape stuck to the door, which Kogoro says is a simple intruder detection mechanism. Seen as a large amount of dust is stuck to the adhesive side of the tape, Conan believes the house has been vacant for a long time. The group decides to enter the apartment as the door is unlocked, but they find no signs of burglary. However, Conan finds a similar activated detector mechanism on one of Kusukawa's drawers meaning the intruder had looked at its contents. He also notices a white square on the table shaped by pencil shading. Conan lays a nearby notepad on the square, finding that it fits perfectly. Kogoro concludes that someone had shaded a page and taken it with them. Conan shades over a second page, revealing that the author had written the message with such force that the words were imprinted two pages down, thus easily legible when shaded over. The message contains: Kenbashi Town, Ito, and an indecipherable phone number. <br>
+ | The trio head to Kenbashi in hopes of finding Heiji and Kazuha. They wander to each house with the last name Ito, asking if they saw their companions. Eventually, they meet Misari Ito, a lawyer, and acquaintance of Eri. She tells them of a suspicious, abandoned mansion near the Kenbashi school under the surname Ito. With the trio led off the trail, Misari goes back inside and climbs up to the attic where Heiji and Kazuha are held captive. Heiji, in a beaten state, listens to Misari mock Kusukawa's actions. He had acquired video evidence of her teaching others how to evade taxes and stored the file in a bank vault with a seven-number verification password. The password is hidden in a code Kusukawa had invented, and Heiji is tasked with deciphering it. The doorbell rings, forcing Misari to return downstairs. Misari explains these footprints are from her jogging shoes which she cleans once she arrives home. Desperate to get Conan's attention, Heiji slams his fist against the attic floor. Conan rushes to investigate but sees Misari's cat descending the stairs. Believing the cat caused the noise, Conan decides to leave at the behest of Ran, much to the dismay of Heiji and Kazuha. Seen as their supposed saviors are either sexually distracted or listening to horse race results, Heiji is left with no choice but to solve Kusukawa's code. Misari states that Kusukawa slated a copy of the code to be sent to the Haido Detective Agency the next day, meaning Heiji is placed on a time limit. But when hearing Kusukawa has a gambling addiction, Heiji immediately solves the code. He tells Misari and her accomplices to leave before telling the allegedly dead Kusukawa to wake up. He confirms with the detective that their captors possess only one copy of the code, which allows him to proceed with a risky plan. <br>

+ | Kogoro, Ran, and Conan eat at a nearby family restaurant, where they receive a phone call from Heiji telling them he's with Kusukawa at a cafe and needs their help solving a certain code. Misari holds Heiji at gunpoint on the other end of the call, applauding him for his idea to enlist Kogoro's help. She sees Heiji had bloodied the bottom half of their only copy of the code. Heiji claims he can recite all the featured symbols, so Misari holds him to it, threatening to take Kazuha's life if he makes a mistake. <br>
+ | At the restaurant, Conan explains the symbols "A," "J," "Q," and "K" represent "Ace," "Jack," "Queen," and "King" and should be converted to their card values. He also notices the central number, "9," is only featured once, likely meaning they split the sixty-three numbers into groups of seven which then correspond to a seven-digit password. After seeing his kid's meal, Conan realizes what the "9" represents but is confused why only the first three digits are numbers. He then sees an astrology spinner on the table, sparking an idea.<br>
+ | As nightfall arrives, Misari believes she no longer needs Heiji, as she can disrupt Kusukawa's delivery by killing the postal worker on route to the detective agency. By continuing to pay the charge on Kusukawa's vault, Misari can grant herself infinite time to solve the code.

+ | Misari asks Heiji if he has any last words. He states there's something important he has to say to Kazuha, something he's wanted to say for a long time. He gets Misari to place the gun on the floor while he says it, hoping Kusukawa will snatch the weapon and turn the tables. Unfortunately, one of the captors notices movement and squashes the plan. Misari gives a severely injured Kusukawa five seconds to reveal the answer to his code, or else she'll shoot Heiji dead. However, right before the countdown reaches zero, Kogoro sends a text displaying another grid of Kusukawa's code. Heiji instantly deciphers the text and claims he's got the answer, but he also reminds his captors that Kogoro Mouri also knows the answer, and it won't take him long to realize it leads to a vault in the Tohto Bank. The boy lays out two options for the anxious tax evaders: one, Misari kills him and runs, abandoning her prestigious life as a well-renowned lawyer; or two, one of them accompanies Heiji to the Tohto bank so they can remove the incriminating evidence before Kogoro can get his hands on it. The criminals decide to take the second option. Before he departs, Kazuha asks Heiji what he wanted to tell her, but Heiji says he'll let her know when he returns.<br>
+ | As Heiji leaves, Misari's accomplices arrive with gasoline. They inform Kazuha that they intend to burn the house to the ground. Heiji will return to a collapsing inferno and likely rush to save his friend, and in his desperate search, they'll kill him too. The police will arrive to see nothing but three unidentified burnt bodies, which Misari will spin as vengeful clients from one of her court cases <br>
+ | While Heiji inputs the password to the vault, he tells Misari how the code can be deciphered.

+ | Because all featured numbers, except for the middle one, are from 1–6, the code represents numbers on a dice. The nine numbers in each group should be oriented in a 3x3 square representing the face of a dice. The number "one" on a dice is represented with a big red dot, will represent the dot on this larger face of dice, meaning the number of ones in each group is a digit that makes up the password. In the end, the seven-digit code should read 3156204.

+ | Heiji successfully opens the vault and pulls out the videotape. But before he hands it to Misari, he also reveals the code he sent Kogoro. He tweaked the code so that the last three symbols should read as alphabet letters instead of numbers: "L.I.B," abbreviating "Libra," which points to the lawyer badge Misari wears. He additionally states the text Kogoro sent back spells in Katakana: (Lead some out (ソトニサソエ)), meaning he wanted Heiji to lessen the number of captors in the house. All Misari can do is stand in terror as Conan arrives at the Ito residence, where he dispatches the two captors with his Stun-Gun Wristwatch and Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes.<br>
+ | Later that day, Heiji calls Conan as the latter sneaks back into the family restaurant through a bathroom window. Conan says the kid's lunch he got had a small Japanese flag on it, which reminded him of the "one" on a dice. Heiji also states Kusukawa didn't immediately go to the police as Misari had helped his family a long time ago, and he believed there was good in her. Kazuha then approaches him, asking what he wanted to say to her. After apparent romantic tensions, Heiji instead says he wanted to complain about her ponytail tickling his back, which angers Kazuha.

Jewel Thieves Case
File 383 - The New Weapon!
The car speeds through the barren, snowy streets of Kenbashi as the two thieves discuss where to dispose of Conan and Agasa. With the two thieves dispatched, Conan instructs Agasa to call the police while he heads to meet the Black Organization.
Vodka is seen exiting his car, ordering his men to secure the area.
Gin further deduces that it wasn't Itakura who communicated with Vodka, as people with heart disease are weak to sudden temperature changes and wouldn't travel to the Gunma snow mountains.
As Conan debates what to do next, he slowly loses consciousness due to the lack of oxygen.

File 384 - The Unexpected Treasure
Ayumi stands mesmerized by the beautiful Hina dolls lining the storefront. Seen as they're near their apartment, Ayumi suggests they visit.
The Detective Boys visit Setsuko Kanno and her mother-in-law, Yayoi Kanno—Ayumi's associates. The Detective Boys—led by Ayumi—proceed to decorate the seven tiers, Genta unamused by the task. Conan proves knowledgeable about the dolls, despite being a boy. He explains that Ran used to enlist his help in decorating when they were kids.
Haibara shares that this is her first time touching Hina dolls, as she was whisked to the United States when she was young. Haibara turns to him with a menacing look, stating, "A drug that'll resurrect the dead." Seeing Conan express a mix of shock and fear, Haibara assures him that the drug she was making was different, "a silly drug which is worthless to the vast majority of those on earth... just like Hina dolls—only having value to little girls in this small country."
Ayumi passes Yayoi's test and get's the keep the Hina dolls.
Setsuko realizes that she has business to attend to, so Ayumi volunteers the boys to go grocery shopping.
File 385 - Ayumi's Worry
Mitsuhiko goes to call the police but sees Yayoi enter.
Though the obvious suspects are Tsumagari and Mie, Setsuko and Yayoi could also benefit from insurance claims.
File 386 - Stairs in the Setting Sun
After notifying Momose about the solved case, Ayumi goes to check the sunset. Haibara sees her and compliments her on the idea. As Ayumi runs back, Haibara gazes at the sinking blood-red beauty, wondering how many more times she'll get to see it.
Momose arrives at the Hina doll room, where Conan explains that if the Hina set were hit with such force that the top two dolls fell over, the other dolls would've also collapsed. The perpetrator must know the proper decoration method because only two dolls are misplaced. In addition, the positioning of the top two dolls wasn't exactly wrong either, as the order of dolls the thief presented was the original pre-Meiji era order—later switched after western influence.
Yayoi offers to pack the Hina dolls, but Ayumi refuses, as she accepts Yayoi's philosophy of guardians taking damage to save their masters.

Conan grabs Ayumi's shoulders, smiling at her and thanking her. She blushes and gets a big grin. She says to herself that the only Hina doll that she wanted was Conan. Later in the case, Ayumi sets up the DB on a staircase so that they look like Hina dolls, with her & Conan would become the empress and emperor in the photo.
Pro Wrestler Case
File 387 - The Tarnished Hero
Nichiuri TV has invited the Sleeping Kogoro to appear alongside the Teito Professional Wrestlers on one of their programs. Hearing his words, Ran buds into the conversation, stating that his girlfriend probably "wants him to tell her the truth," reminding Conan of how Ran "wished he was Shinichi[1] ." Ogami states that "his identity will be revealed when his character, Wolf-Face, dies," a quote that resonates with Conan.
Mugikura interviews another wrestler, Hyota Nagase, who's slated to be Ogami's opponent in the main event. He expresses confidence in his chances and insults his colleagues for their unattractive faces. He steps into his room and phones a rival wrestling league, revealing that he intends to cheat and destroy Wolf-Face's reputation, which will crash Teito Wrestling's ratings. Unbeknownst to him, a silhouette stands outside his door, listening to his words of treachery.
The main event has finally arrived.
File 388 - Wolf's Shadow
The match's cancellation is announced to the crowd of disappointed fans.
The suspects are brought in: Iwao Ushigome; Hiroyuki Sakuma; Wolf-Face, Takaharu Ogami; and Nega-Wolf, Leonardo Rossi.
Conan notices how the Wolf-Face mask is tied at the back and gets an idea.
File 389 - The Man Who Can Never Be a Wolf
Conan asks for Kogoro and Megure to reexamine the footage.
Seeing the four suspects enter the room with Mouri Kogoro, the surrounding press believe the Sleeping Kogoro Deduction Show had commenced. They push forward and demand they be let in, trapping Chiba and Ran outside the door.
Kogoro sympathizes with Ogami as a rough road lies ahead for him and his league, but Ogami replies, "Wrestlers are tough," before leaving. A few days later, Ran explains Wolf-Face's matches to Sonoko, almost accidentally revealing his secret identity.

Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation
File 390 - Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation! 1
Heiji and Kazuha are chained in manacles, trapped in the dark attic of a criminal's house. Two men enter the room and throw down a beaten man (Kusukawa) in dire condition, making him an example of what would happen if Heiji doesn't solve the riddle he's given. However, Heiji seems relaxed, as he knows someone will soon come to save them.
At the Mouri Detective Agency, Conan and Ran worry about their missing friends and eventually decide to look for them.
The group heads to Kusukawa's residence but finds he's not home.
The trio head to Kenbashi in hopes of finding Heiji and Kazuha. She sees Conan Edogawa standing outside her door.
File 391 - Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation! 2
Conan points out the plethora of footprints staining the genkan and how they all point into the house, meaning no one has exited.
Kogoro, Ran, and Conan eat at a nearby family restaurant, where they receive a phone call from Heiji telling them he's with Kusukawa at a cafe and needs their help solving a certain code.
At the restaurant, Conan explains the symbols "A," "J," "Q," and "K" represent "Ace," "Jack," "Queen," and "King" and should be converted to their card values. He also notices the central number, "9," is only featured once, likely meaning they split the sixty-three numbers into groups of seven which then correspond to a seven-digit password. After seeing his kid's meal, Conan realizes what the "9" represents but is confused why only the first three digits are numbers. He then sees an astrology spinner on the table, sparking an idea.
As nightfall arrives, Misari believes she no longer needs Heiji, as she can disrupt Kusukawa's delivery by killing the postal worker on route to the detective agency. By continuing to pay the charge on Kusukawa's vault, Misari can grant herself infinite time to solve the code.
File 392 - Heiji Hattori's Desperate Situation! 3
Misari asks Heiji if he has any last words. Before he departs, Kazuha asks Heiji what he wanted to tell her, but Heiji says he'll let her know when he returns.
As Heiji leaves, Misari's accomplices arrive with gasoline. They inform Kazuha that they intend to burn the house to the ground. Heiji will return to a collapsing inferno and likely rush to save his friend, and in his desperate search, they'll kill him too. The police will arrive to see nothing but three unidentified burnt bodies, which Misari will spin as vengeful clients from one of her court cases
While Heiji inputs the password to the vault, he tells Misari how the code can be deciphered.
Heiji successfully opens the vault and pulls out the videotape. All Misari can do is stand in terror as Conan arrives at the Ito residence, where he dispatches the two captors with his Stun-Gun Wristwatch and Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes.
Later that day, Heiji calls Conan as the latter sneaks back into the family restaurant through a bathroom window.
