Detective Conan Special (名探偵コナン特別編 Meitantei Konan Tokubetsuhen?) manga consist of short stories written and drawn by 3 groups: Eiichi Yamagishi (one of Gosho Aoyama's assistants), Yutaka Abe and Denjiro Maru (with Takahisa Taira making the scenario), Masaru Ohta and Kazuhiro Kubota. It was serialized in grade-level learning magazine such as 4th Grader and 5th Grader since 1996. When those magazines discontinued in 2010 and 2012, the serialization was transferred to CoroCoro Ichiban!. The tankobon version are published under Shogakukan's Ladybug Comics (てんとうむしコミックス Tentō Mushi Comikkusu?) label.
