Yoshino wanted to avenge Hiroyuki Kitano, whom she knows was killed by Hayato Nanjo. Kitano got the part of Jinnai couple of years back so a jealous Hayato decided to kill him by telling to do a stunt without a stunt man. Hayato then sabotaged Kitano's car for the stunt by removing a bolt, which resulted in it crashing and killing him. She got him to admit this, when she was driving him home one night and in a drunken stupor he admitted everything to her.
