Background
Saitoh is a detective from the Tokyo MPD, Division One Investigations, Section Three, cyber crimes unit.[1] He loves Sato and is jealous of Takagi, often attempting to interrupt their dates along with several other officers. He has great respect for Matsumoto and Kuroda, and follows their orders conscientiously. He meets Conan in several cases and his great deduction impressed him only during Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan deflects suspicion off him by leaving all credit to Shinichi or Agasa.[2] Often times, when a huge case is closed, he likes to go drinking along with other officers that same night.[3] He ate Azusa's special pasta when came to Café Poirot on their stakeout, and said it was really delicious, so he's been coming here a lot recently.[4]
