Masayoshi Sato was Miwako's father. During his high school years, he was the baseball team's captain. He went on to become a police officer, attaining the rank of Senior Superintendent in the Tokyo MPD when he died on duty, eighteen years prior to the current timeline.

He was a righteous law enforcement member. He was also a good husband and father.
