Conan notices the existence of Kimika due to two photos featuring everyone in the same position except "Rika" herself. |

+ | * The plan to murder Rika began with Kimika pretended to be her sister and went on the trip that Rika was supposed to go. At later time, Kenji lured Rika out on a short fishing trip to murder her. Kimika then secretly left the Hokkaido to meet up with him. Afterward, the two would transport Rika's body to Hokkaido to complete the plan. With Kimika pretending that "Rika" wanted to commit suicide in Hokkaido, Rika's friends and the police would all believe that Rika had committed suicide there, and since Kimika and Kenji have an alibi fishing together during the time of Rika's death, they would be excluded from the suspects.

They then hurries Rika to the hospital. Later, after they hear that Rika has recovered, Kimika convinces Kenji and they turn themselves to the police.
