+ | <spoiler>The culprit is '''Mitsuyuki Arimori'''. He murdered Chizuru early in the morning, first he knocked her out with a stungun and hid the corpse in the back of his van then he Strangled her with a rope when the group headed to the valley. Later, in the afternoon he used a hang-glider to get back to the hotel before the others and hung her corpse her room.
+ | |||
+ | The proof is a special type of pollen unique to a [[Wikipedia: Aporia hippia|butterfly]] from the valley that was on Chizuru's clothes that had been unknowingly transferred from Arimori's shoulder when he was carrying the corpse.
+ | |||
+ | He reveals that the actress was his brother's lover, she had made him spend large amounts of money repeatedly and although his brother truly loved her she did not. Eventually she decided to break up with him to be with a much richer man, broken hearted he flew on his hang glider, however he miscalculated the trajectory and ended up plummeting to his death. He reveals that he tried to ask the actress to say a few words on his brother's grave but she refused and he decided to kill her.

In Greek Mythology, Icarus, who received wings, forgot his father's warning that he shouldn't fly too high, and flew higher and higher. He believed he could fly to the sun. But Icarus' wings couldn't bear the heat when he got too close to the sun. After his wings burned, Icarus fell from the sky right to the ground.
Part 2
After investigating in the crime scene, Conan understands that Bizen's death wasn't a suicide, but a murder. He collects pieces of evidence, gets Kogoro asleep, and solves the case.

Trivia
- The Shimogasa twins from A Cursed Mask Coldly Laughs reappear in this episode. Considering that the screenwriter Chiaki Hashiba had passed away when that case was aired, it might have been added by Koujin Ochi during the episode conception, since he wrote episode 184 and played the role of storyboard and part 1 episode director for this case.
- Kogoro watched the completed TV drama starred by Yoko Okino called "The Stalker Who Laughted at the Darkness", broadcasted in a Tuesday Suspense Drama by Nichiuri TV. First mentioned in On Location, TV Drama Murder Case, which was the first TV original episode written by Koujin Ochi, under the name of Ochi Hirohito.
- Mitsuyuki Arimori's bus is a 1999 gray Nissan Civilian.
- Hidehiko Shiromoto's off-road is a 1994 dark blue Honda Crossroad Series I [LJ].
- Shinobu Shimon's car is a white Toyota Crown [S140].
- In Hotel Arimori, the painting with mountains reappears in Beika Central Hospital from Captured in Her Eyes, in the ropeway cabin from The Entrance to the Maze: The Anger of the Colossus, and in Tachibana villa from The Bay of Revenge; the one with a hut on the lake is from Izu Hospital in Scuba Diving Murder Case; and the two with flowers are from the mountains in this episode.
