+ | <spoiler>It turns out that '''Makoto Hiiragi''' used an alibi trick to kill Okamoto. First, he invited his girlfriend to watch a movie and had her fall asleep with the sleeping pills he put in her soda. Afterwards, he would then leave and kill Okamoto and return as if nothing happened. Since his girlfriend remembered the scenes that happened just before she slept and right after she woke up, it would seem that she only slept for a small window of 15 minutes, but this is not true, since she in fact slept for two more hours and was only woken up during the second screening of the same movie, which would give Hiiragi enough time to move around. The proof of this is that there was an altercation between a drunk man and the staff during the first screening, which both Hiiragi and his girlfriend didn't know about. After Kogoro wakes up, he comments how the day passes quickly when he makes good deductions.</spoiler>

+ | <spoiler>It turns out that '''Sachiko Ehara''' faked her own kidnapping in the hope that his husband would notice her and come back to reality, after spending the last few years just working and travelling for work. Conan figures this out and confronts her along with Ai and Ran, and the group decides to wait for Ai's father to prove that he still cares for them. At dusk, the father ends up coming and the family reunites. It is later revealed that Conan had left a note to the father, clueing him about his wife's situation.</spoiler>

+ | <spoiler>Even after the body search, the mysterious blade could not be found. However, it was hidden as something else and then modified. Conan realizes this when he notices metallic powder on the ground. It comes from '''Masami Iwai''''s tape measurer, which he trimmed into a sharp blade with his nail file. When the police pull the whole measurer out, they notice droplets of blood still on it. It turns out that he killed Ryuichi since he wanted to break their father's precious ceramic pot, which is in fact valued at 10 million yen. He hated the fact that their father liked Ryuichi the most when he was born from another mother. When Ran and Conan come back home, they hear Kogoro complain about adults who cannot leave their parents' home, but as he asks for beer, the two go away from him, saying that parents that cannot let go of their children are the same.</spoiler>
