Sozo Tonami (利波 創造 Tonami Sōzō ) is a Japanese screenplay writer. He is a member of Japan Writers' Guild[1] and Japan Game Scenario Writers Association.[2]

Biography
Tonami was born in Toyama Prefecture. He was graduated from Faculty of Human Sciences, Osaka University (大阪大学人間科学部). After his graudation, he also took short-time lessons at Nikkatsu Art Academy Department of Imaging (にっかつ芸術学院映像科). He then debuted as a screenwriter in 1996, for planning and writing scenarios for the anime Saint Tail (怪盗セイント・テール); Detective Conan was the second anime he worked at.
After 2000, he began to work as a full-time lecturer at the Tokyo Game Designer Gakuin (東京ゲームデザイナー学院), and in 2007, he served as the general manager of the game scenario division at High Volume Co., Ltd. (にはハイボリューム有限会社). He then retired from the game design school in 2008, he is currently a part-time lecturer at the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Information, Bunkyo University (文教大学).
Style analysis
He focuses on the trick of killing, and the idea of "Sunflower Estate" in his only work has a very similar style to the renwoned "mansion series" (館シリーズ), written by Yukito Ayatsuji (綾辻 行人).
