Biography

Toyoto Kogiso began to write screenplays when he was a student. After quitting from University of Tokyo Faculty of Literature (東京大学文学部), he made his debut as a screenwriter in the criminal TV drama Taiyō ni Hoero! (太陽にほえろ!) in 1980, in which he wrote the 417th episode of the TV drama. After that, Kogiso wrote numerous screenplays for other TV dramas, mostly relevant to police, suspense, and history.
