Teraoka's first participation in Detective Conan was doing key animation for the anime episode Episode 515: Kaitou Kid's Teleportation Magic in 2008, and this was the only time that he was involved in the TV anime. From 2011 onwards, Teraoka began to serve as the storyboard assistant for the Detective Conan movies regularly, mainly responsible for the storyboard of action scenes. Apart from the movies, Teraoka also did storyboard for two openings, in 2016 and 2021 respectively. In 2022, he did the storyboard for the Detective Conan spin-off story, Zero's Tea Time.
