Kazuyoshi Yokota (横田 和善 Yokota Kazuyoshi?, ??? – September 7, 2011) is a Japanese anime director and storyboard artist. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography

Kazuyoshi Yokota debuted as in the animation work Heidi, Girl of the Alps (アルプスの少女ハイジ) in 1974. In the Detective Conan anime, he joined the production in 2003, starting with Episode 314: The Scenic Lookout with the Broken Fence, and quit the production the following year, after directing Episode 353: The Fishing Tournament Tragedy (Part 2). In addition, he usually worked in the episodes where Akiko Kawashima served as the animation director.

On September 7, 2011, Yokota passed away[2]. His death was announced by screenwriter Nobuyuki Isshiki (一色 伸幸) via X[1]; Isshiki had previously worked with Yokota in the anime Uchūsen Sagittarius (宇宙船サジタリウス)[3].
