Is it really ''only'' 33? Wow, it seems like it should be more, I guess some of those 2 hour specials contain more than one case? But then I counted them as episodes instead of cases, and the number, episode wise, became somewhere between 55-60, and that to me sounds a little more believeable. Only 33
Is it really only 33? Wow, it seems like it should be more, I guess some of those 2 hour specials contain more than one case? NakagawaRyou 05:57, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- I was stunned too! I was doing the count, and I was like "Really, that little?" But then I counted them as episodes instead of cases, and the number, episode wise, became somewhere between 55-60, and that to me sounds a little more believeable. It's hard to imagine that case wise, it's only about 33! Very interesting. CarpetCrawlermessage me 06:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- You guys are making a good point here. Should we count appearances by episodes or cases? Maybe we should be using an objective and absolute value instead of a contextual number? An episode is still an episode after all. Two (or more) episode parts are, just like any other, aired with at least one week separating them. Maybe we could do something like:
Episode 48: Diplomat Murder Case (Part 1) Episode 49: Diplomat Murder Case (Part 2)
- Even if they point to the same page, the absolute value of episodes would be preserved? It might also help give a good visual right away of how many episodes a case spanned and how important, eventually, the character's appearance must have been there. For example, The Desperate Revival spanned 6 episodes and Heiji played an important role there. Right now, it just looks like a normal episode after giving a quick sight at this list. What are your views on this? --Maurice 12:01, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's the same for Clash of Red and Black!. Heiji appears in it, but I don't even remember which part. I mean, I understand the sentiment, as it would make it look like Andre Camel only appeared in one episode, when he actually appeared in like the last seven or eight parts of the Clash arc... but to me I like this idea better. When the Wiki is more finished we can even have a page with an explanation on how the numbers work. CarpetCrawlermessage me 14:55, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
