Kiyonaga Matsumoto (松本 清長 Matsumoto Kiyonaga), known as Kiyonaga McLaughlin in the Funimation dub, is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Matsumoto is the chief of the Tokyo police, and Juzo Megure's superior, often giving him specific instructions on very dangerous cases. Sometimes, Megure puts his plan through to Matsumoto first, and then sees what he has to say about it.
He got the scar over his left eye from his chasing a serial killer, a case that remained unsolved until Conan helps unravel it and enables the killer's arrest.[1]
