Manga to anime changes
- The reason why Conan refrains from knocking out Ran is due to her nearly finding out his identity in The Cornered Famous Detective! Two Big Murder Cases. The anime omits this reason as it places the two stories in a different order.

The Arabic dub faced some controversy over juvenile suicide as portrayed in Episode 26, as it was linked to various real-life juvenile suicides in the region, alleged by local mainstream media as an imitation of what happened in the episode. As a result, this episode was significantly delayed from broadcast, and aired eventually with substantial changes to the ending to remove that aspect. In the Arabic version plot, all the teachers are ski instructors except for the killer, Minako is the killer's little long-haired brother, who fell in a snow hole during ski practice and none of his instructors helped him get out of the hole, out of cowardice, watching him as he is buried alive by snow. However, parts of the Minako flashback scene with girl Minako hanged from the ceiling were still left in clashing with the spoken dialogue.
