Situation
The Detective Boys arrive at The Ice Room boarding house with Professor Agasa. While the Detective Boys play start a snow fight, Genta retreats inside the Boarding house to clean his face. Conan looks for Genta since he was taking so long. Conan accidentally overhears an argument between Juri Himuro and Aya Himuro. Aya protests against Juri having Masahiko Fujita as a boyfriend. Masahiko and Juri run off. Genta then exist the kitchen witch is next to Conan. Conan wonders Genta was going and finds that Genta was in the kitchen. Conan then gets kicked out of the kitchen by Ryoko Himuro. Haibara in the meantime has been making minature snow animals sculptures. Aya then comes from the mountain path.
It is dinner time. During dinner, Ayumi is put off by the scent of garlic. This causes Conan to wonder because the food doesn't have Garlic. After dinner Aya reminds Juri to take her medication but it's disappeared. Masahiko then goes out to get the medication for her through the snowstorm. A phone call comes from the hospital saying that her boyfriend hasn't made it. They all begin to wonder because he should have arrived long ago. Juri rings his mobile but he doesn't answer. They (not including Juri) all go out looking for him. Masahiko's car is there so they deduce he must have taken the fast road. Conan discovers his corpse off the cliff of perilous a narrow path.

The police are not able to come but Conan preserves the scene. Professor Agasa thinks it's an accident but Conan has his doubts. Conan finds some fragments of something shiny in the snow. He continues to wonder why Masahiko chose the dangerous path. The sisters reply because it's faster. Conan asks _ if she was into town this afternoon because they saw her coming from there. When back in the lodge, Juri breaks down and blames herself. That night, Conan sitting thinking on the steps when he hears a door squeak open. He discovers 'Monaka ice' in the store room. That night Juri suffers a coughing bout. Conan asks her if her sisters would do anything for her. The detective boys bring in the animal ice sculptures that Haibara had made. The denouement scene.
