Animax (アニマックス Animakkusu ) is a Japanese anime satellite television network, dedicated to broadcasting anime programming.[1] A subsidiary of Japanese media conglomerate Sony, it is headquartered in New Pier Takeshiba North Tower (ニューピア竹芝ノースタワー Nyū Pia Takeshiba Nōsu Tawā ) in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, with its co-founders and shareholders including Sony Pictures Entertainment and the noted anime studios Sunrise[1][2], Toei Animation[3][4], TMS Entertainment, and production company NAS.[5][6]

Nippon Television Network Corporation (日本テレビ放送網株式会社 Nihon Terebi Hōsōmō Kabushiki-gaisha ) (is a television network based in the Shiodome area of Minato, Tokyo, Japan owned by the Yomiuri Shimbun. Broadcasting terrestrially across Japan, the network is commonly known as Nihon TV (日本テレビ Nihon Terebi ), contracted to Nittele (日テレ Nittere ), and abbreviated as "NTV".

(新大阪テレビ放送株式会社 Shin Ōsaka Terebi Hōsō Kabushiki Gaisha , NOTV)" on February 13, 1958. On August 1, New Osaka TV was renamed "Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation" and started TV broadcasting on August 28 as the first TV station which is affiliated with Nippon Television Network Corp.
