Hirota (広田 Hirota ), commonly referred to as Detective Hirota (広田刑事 Hirota-keiji ), is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.
Background
Hirota is a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He loves Sato and thus jealous of Takagi, much often to boycott with his colleagues their dates. Superintendent Matsumoto puts always awe to him.
He meets Conan in several cases and is surprised by his great deduction only during Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan justifies himself saying that this is what Shinichi told him first on the phone[3]. In a previous case, he had to save Conan from a kidnapper: the hostage's life is his priority.[4]
He reports directly to Inspector Megure information on cases in presence of Kogoro[5].
