Sogawa (十川 Sogawa?), commonly referred to as Detective Sogawa (十川刑事 Sogawa-keiji?), is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Sogawa is a detective (刑事 keiji?) from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Division One Investigations. He loves Detective Sato and thus jealous of Detective Takagi, much often to boycott along with all his colleagues their dates. Superintendent Matsumoto puts always awe to him.

He meets Conan Edogawa in several cases and is surprised by his great deduction only during Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan justifies himself saying that this is what Shinichi Kudo told him first on the phone.[3] In a previous case, along with other colleagues, he had to save Conan from a kidnapper: the hostage's life is their priority.[4]

He gives freely information about a murder case to Kogoro Mouri, and due to this he is resumed by Inspector Megure[2].
