Motohashi (本橋 Motohashi?) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background

Detective Motohashi was a detective in plain clothes from Yamanashi Prefecture and controls the region near the Yamanashi Michi no eki station. He was then promoted to police inspector and went to serve Nagasaki Prefecture in Episode 679. He was then reposted in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department along with Tomonori Ogawara in The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa.

Personality

He is an irritable man and doesn't hesitate to use harsh language to interrogate suspects. He is a pretty hard-working person which gained him many promotions in the police.

Appearance

He has a strong built and short raw brown hair and wears a brown suit.

Motohashi appears to be the Police Detective in charge of the case where a friend of Hiroshi Agasa was knocked unconscious. He appreciates the Detective Boys' help and arrest the culprits with Iwanaga and Fujii.

Nagasaki Theater Mystery Tour (Anime: 678-679)

Motohashi has been promoted to police inspector and arrests the culprit after Kogoro solved the case. He is accompanied by another assistant than Fujii.

The Disappearance of Conan Edogawa: The Worst Two Days in History (TV Special: 5)

Motohashi is being moved to the HQ and is the one in charge of the serial bombing case involving Kondo, a legendary hitman. He is assisted by Tomonori Ogawara who was also moved.
