Rie Tanaka (田中 理恵 Tanaka Rie ), born January 3, 1979, is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
In Detective Conan, she voices the character Naeko Miike.
Tanaka married fellow voice actor Koichi Yamadera on June 17, 2012, coinciding with his 51st birthday.[2] They later held a wedding ceremony in Oahu, Hawaii on January 3, 2013, coinciding with her 34th birthday.[3] Her husband voiced the character Kyosuke Haga during the three-part Detective Conan episode Dissonance of the Stradivarius (385-387).
She is known to be an avid gamer and otaku. Tanaka has been known to cosplay, dressing as such characters as Lara Croft, Neptune, and Morrigan Aensland, the latter two being video game characters that she voices.[4] When the topic of Final Fantasy XI was brought up during an interview in 2008, Tanaka explained, "All my fans know that Rie Tanaka = Gamer." [5] Her blood type is B.
