Background
Hakuba is Saguru Hakuba's father. He has a younger brother[1], who is the owner of "Hakuba Research Center" on Ekoda periphery.
As Superintendent General of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, he holds the highest police rank in TMPD. The second-in-command after him is Toshio Moroboshi.
He convinced Nakamori to work with his son to show Saguru the ropes of real police work.
He's told Saguru all about Heiji Hattori, the son of the chief of the Osaka Police. He said Heiji were a very intuitive detective.
Personality
Hakuba is a humoristic Superintendent, always happy, and that take things a bit without serious, like Magic Kaito, when he met Nakamori and just patted him and laughed.
