Character appearances

Discussion regarding the display of several character appearances tables per episodes (copy/pasted from user talk pages):

It doesn't hurt to specify appearances per episode (it can be useful actually). But if you disagree, please use the Talk page instead of making a huge edit like that of your own accord. Thanks. --Maurice.

I am with Maurice on this on having the cast listed for each episode. Red vs. Black is the longest anime arc and the characters do switch up between the subcases. My policy is the more information, and more specificity, the better. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 16:20, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Look, Mr. MacGuffin, this is a talk between Maurice-sama and me. Mind your own business and this doesn't compromises your judgement. --S261157 17:30, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
Minding your own business is not how wikis work. Wikis are a collaborative project, meaning anyone can give input on anything they want because everything on a wiki is public. Also you never remove another user's talk page message from another user's talk page unless it is offensive (e.g. obviously insulting or vandalism). This is a blockable offense. Consider this your first warning. Furthermore, I found your message on my talk page rude. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 18:24, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
I also think that this arc contains lots of different plots and twists which cause the cast to almost completely change from an episode to another. This is worth noting as it does slightly reveal the way the plot progresses and inform the reader of the sequential appearances of the characters. --Maurice 12:17, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

And please don't take actions while the discussion is ongoing and do remain polite! And remember that the wiki is NOT a personal project. It's a TEAM effort. You can't just decide that something should be some way just because YOU don't like it: if there are other different opinions (like it is the case here), a unanimous consensus should be reached first before updating the page. --Maurice 12:11, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Compromise-wise, perhaps we can limit the cast listings to just the episodes that mark the start of a new subcase in Red vs Black. The subcases are...
  • Blood truth 491
  • A mother's memento 492-494
  • The fake patient 495-497
  • Last resort 498-500
  • Friday the 13th/Wedge of steel 501-504
It would cut down on the number of repeating cast rows, but the downside is less character specificity. This is what the page would look like if the cast was limited to being listed at the beginning of new sub-cases. Chekhov MacGuffin talk 04:14, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Proposition for new Clash format

I am proposing a new version of the page which can be seen here. (Note to future readers, the page may have been overwritten.)

I divided Clash into specific subcases which are formatted similarly to normal cases with cast list, situation, crime infoboxes, people, and resolution. The subcases are:

  • Blood truth 491
  • A mother's memento 492-494
  • The fake patient 495-497
  • Last resort 498-500
  • Friday the 13th/Wedge of steel 501-504

In the process of doing so, I reduced the number of castlists which was a point of contention before. Because of spoilers, I had to make entire anime episodes part of the resolution which is why there are multiple subsections in several resolution boxes. I also included an overall resolution section that gives a basic summary of all the revelations with links to make reading out easier. I would like to hear your thoughts on the overall concept. (nitty gritty like names, spelling, and stuff can be worked out later.) Chekhov MacGuffin talk 01:30, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
