Yuzuru Tachikawa (立川 譲 Tachikawa Yuzuru ), born 2 December 1981 in Iruma District, Saitama Prefecture, as a Japanese anima film director. He is known for Death Parade, Mob Psycho 100 and Deca-Dence.
Biography
Yuzuru Tachikawa was born in 1981 in Iruma District, near the major cities of Saitama and Kawagoe.[1] He later studied at the Nihon University College of Art, before joining animation studio Madhouse.[2]
He debuted in 2007 by animating the final episode of Kiba. He later became a freelancer.[3] In 2012, Tachikawa was the director of OVA Arata-naru Sekai.[4] The following year, he directed movie Death Billiards for Madhouse, which ended up becoming a series, Death Parade, which he also directed.[5][6] Since 2016, he is the director of anime series Mob Psycho 100, which has received many awards at the Crunchyroll Awards.[7]
In 2018, he was announced as director for the 22nd movie of Detective Conan, and he was later announced on November 30, 2022 to direct 2023 Detective Conan movie Iron Submarine.[8]
