Yama (山 Yama ) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Yama is a detective from Tokyo MPD, Division One Investigations, Section Three.
Personality
He obeish the orders without complaining, but isn't really discreet, since he left the kids run and lost track of Ayumi. He is able to camouflage through the crowd by wearing civilian clothes, but is still visible with his actions. He reports directly to Megure and gives complete information. When Megure needs a handy, he waits for him to come and go heal Ayumi with his superior. He has a kin observation sense since he spotted that Ayumi disappeared, as other police detectives didn't notice it.
Appearance
He is an average height police detective and wears normal clothes with a turtleneck, so he will be blended amongst the crowd. He wears glasses and has sassy brown hair. His ears are mysteriously big.

Two-Mix Kidnapping Case (Anime: 81-82)
He is one of the police detectives in charge of the investigation on Two-Mix's kidnapping. He surveys the Detective Boys at the train station and noticed one of the kids disappeared. He didn't notice the kid was Conan and not Ayumi, and it was too late when the police found out.
Wedding Murder Case (Anime: 141)
Along with Megure, Takagi, Tome, and other policemen, he is charged to investigate the murder at a rich manor. He tries to block the journalists from entering, following Megure's orders, and they're barely able to enter the mansion.
The Gunshot at the Sunflower Estate (Anime: 245)
He is only imaginated by Conan in a fantasy sequence, about Kogoro's stupid conversation with Megure before his subordinates.
