Masahiro Hosoda (細田 雅弘 Hosoda Masahiro ) is a Japanese technical director. He takes part in the production of Detective Conan anime.

Biography
In 1982, Masahiro Hosoda joined Toei Animation (東映アニメーション)[1][2]. At that time around, he took up the tutelage of Kozo Morishita (森下 孝三)[2]. Later, in 1984, Hosoda became an episode director for the first time by directing the 30th episode of Video Warrior Laserion (ビデオ戦士レザリオン). Thereafter, he constantly served as scoreboard artist, technical director, and even series director under Toei Animation works.
In 2013, his directed movie of Dragon Ball titled Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (ドラゴンボールZ 神と神) grossed 2.99 billion yen[3].
In the Detective Conan anime, Hosoda joined the production in 2004, starting with storyboard work of Episode 357: Sweetheart is an Illusion of Spring; in 2008 he quit the production team after directing Episode 520: Red Wine Indictment and has not returned yet.
