Plot

Kaitou Kid's latest heist notice is for a newly authenticated Fabergé egg owned by the Suzuki Financial Group and on display in Osaka. Conan, Heiji and the Kid Task Force ultimately fail to prevent the theft, but during Kid's escape an unknown sniper apparently kills him via a shot to the eye -- the trademark of the criminal known as Scorpion. What is Scorpion's goal, and why is the egg so important? Only Conan can catch the culprit and find the truth of the death of The Last Wizard of the Century!

    Trivia

    • While on the cruise-liner after bandaging the bird, there is a brief glimpse of the room on the ship Conan is in. He is staying in room 221-A. 221-B Baker Street was Holmes's apartment in London. This is an obvious homage to the Holmes's series which is referenced in the anime quite frequently.
