Something along the lines of he's in Metropolitan Police Department Division 1 and in charge of arson investigation, but you probably can understand it better than I can. (I only know how to read, not really how to translate.) If it helps, the official English translation says:

Unsquashed. See how Haibara's head shape looks more normal? It's easy to tell if you have a squashed scene by tolting your head to look at the scene. Chekhov MacGuffin ^talk 02:34, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
