Conan, Haibara and the Detective Boys run into a drug dealer who is being chased by the police. The drug dealer looses his notebook and Conan finds that there's a code inside about a drug exchange which is going to take place that same day. In order to stop it, they'll first need to solve the code and find the location and exact time.

With the help of Heiji, they found out that the exchange is going to take place in Osaka. Heiji runs to the place and finds that Kazuha is there talking with one of the suspects. Heiji starts a fight against drug agents (mistaken as dealers) because they took Kazuha away from the meeting place. After clearing the misunderstanding, Kazuha asks Heiji about his words. Heiji avoids the discussion by pointing the lack of evidence. Conan is shown to have a recording of his words.

After dinner, the little sister realized she has run out of medicine and his boyfriend volunteers to walk through the storm to bring her more medicine. Once the storm has ended, everyone decides to look for him since he was taking too long, and they found him dead on the snow.
