Background
Sogawa is a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He loves Sato and thus jealous of Takagi, much often to boycott with his colleagues their dates. Superintendent Matsumoto puts always awe to him.
He meets Conan in several cases and is surprised by his great deduction only during Takagi's kidnapping, but Conan justifies himself saying that this is what Shinichi told him first on the phone[2]. In a previous case, he had to save Conan from a kidnapper: the hostage's life is his priority.[3]
He gives freely to Kogoro information about cases, and due to it he is resumed by Inspector Megure[4].
