After knocking out the two suspicious jewel thieves with the supposed treasure, a duffel bag full of jewels, Conan and the rest of the group open up the treasure chest. The real treasure is revealed to be a letter from the past, written by Yusaku Kudo in 1978. In the letter, it explains how the experiences they gained during and the memories they have of the journey will become the priceless treasure that they will never forget in their lifetimes.
