Situation

Part 1

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan are staying at a hotel where they meet the twins from the case of the cursed mask. Later, an actress comes and causes trouble. The next day, she is found hanged in her room.

In Greek Mythology, Icarus, who received wings, forgot his father's warning that he shouldn't fly too high, and flew higher and higher. He believed he could fly to the sun. But Icarus' wings couldn't bear the heat when he got too close to the sun. After his wings burned, Icarus fell from the sky right to the ground.

Part 2

After investigating in the crime scene, Conan understands that Bizen's death wasn't a suicide, but a murder. He collects pieces of evidence, gets Kogoro asleep, and solves the case.

The culprit is Mitsuyuki Arimori. He murdered Chizuru in the morning First he shocked the victim with stungun and hid the corpse in the trunk of his van then he Strangulation victim with rope when the group headed to the valley. Later, in the afternoon he hang-glided to the hotel and hung the corpse.

The proof is a special type of pollen unique a butterfly from the valley that was on Chizuru's clothes that has been unknowingly transferred from Arimori's shoulder after he hung the corpse.

He reveals that the actress was his brother's lover, she had made him spend large amounts of money repeatedly and although his brother truly loved her she did not. Eventually she decided to break up with him to be with a much richer man, broken hearted he flew on his hang glider, however he miscalculated and ended up plummeting to his death. He reveals that he tried to ask the actress to say a few words on his brother's grave but she refused and he decided to kill her.
