Yakumaru (薬丸 Yakumaru) is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.
Contents
Background
Yakumaru is a Ministry of Health narcotics officer and investigator. He is also a pharmaceutical student at an university in Osaka and lives near Kazuha's home. He has at disposition many men, who can use in missions, and is also the one directly contacting the head of investigations. He has a certain basis in knowledge about pharma and drugs.
Personality
He is serious and does the job right. He can easily camouflage himself, since Heiji mistook him for a drug dealer. He is pretty kind towards Kazuha, since she is his neighbor, and even orders his men to protect her, which Heiji thought was a kidnapping.
Appearance
He is a tall and skinny young man. He has white dyed hair and is dressed leniently, since he needs to do so to blend in with the drug dealers. He also has a lizard-shaped black tatto and a piercing on his nose. He has light beard.

Plot overview
Drug Trading Case (Manga: 879-881, Anime: 763-764)
Arrived on the Ebisu bridge in Osaka, Heiji see three suspicious men and find out Yakumaru, who was talking to Kazuha, was supposed to be a drug trader. Then, thinking he is going to kidnap Kazuha, Heiji yells at him and tries to fight, but he finds out that the drug dealers were disarmed and that he was a narcotics officer.
Kaitou Kid and the Fairy's Lip (Manga: 1021, Anime: 984)
Conan makes Heiji remember that old case, and there is a flashback with Yakumaru also.
