Biography
Akira Watanabe began to serve an animation director for the Detective Conan anime in 2004, starting with The City Crows. He only did animation correction and worked under some of the episodes done by Tama Production. He then quit the anime production team after finishing the animation director work of The Mysterious Height Difference of 20cm the following year.
In the OVA aspect, Watanabe was also involved in two OVAs' production, working with another animator from Tama Production, Takashi Saijo.
