Even though his participated animation works were mainly seen as "collapsed drawings"[2], his highly fast-paced productivity as technical director was noticed by many people: for once he was simultaneously serving as episode director for 13 anime and drew Layout frames for the entire episode[2]. Meanwhile, he is also an animator who never tries to hide the secret of anime industry, issues such as lacking of experienced animators, production time and budgets were frequently disclosed by him in interviews[2].
Due to the Detective Conan spin-off production, Sasaki joined the production of the Detective Conan anime in 2022, starting with Episode 1034: Taiko Meijin's Shogi Board (Brilliant Move); in the same year, he declared on his twitter account that his studio (himself included) would cease getting involved in the Detective Conan production[3], thus Episode 1056: I Want My Husband Back was his last participation in the anime.
