Professor Agasa has created a computer program that can give you the identity of anyone in the world. He decides to use it on figuring out who Kaitou Kid is. Before he does, the program gives him a history of the Kid, as well as preview clips of the eighth movie. When he is about to finally figure out who the Kid is, Kid appears on the computer screen, announcing he has hacked the program.
2	Lupin III vs. Detective Conan	March 27, 2009
When the queen and her son of Vespania are murderd in a hunting accident, Conan must now protect the princess after an assassination attempt while at a coincidence the legendary gentlemen thief Lupin III and his friends are after the queen's crown at the same place Conan is. But the two realize the recent death wasn't an accident at all, so now they much team up and figure out who killed the royal people and stop him before the princess suffers the same fate.

The mysterious thief Kaitou Kid has reappeared after an eight year hiatus stealing jewels. Meanwhile, high school student Kaito Kuroba discovers a secret room in his house behind a portrait of his father along with Kaitou Kid's outfit. What does this mean? Kaito Kuroba/Kaitou Kid, Aoko Nakamori, Ginzo Nakamori, Toichi Kuroba, Chikage Kuroba, and Konosuke Jii are introduced. Kaito takes over from Jii what Toichi started and becomes the next Kaitou Kid. At this point of time, Kaito targets expensive objects as Kid to attract the attention of whoever might know something about (or had something to do with) what happened to Toichi. Aoko blushes when she thinks Kaito is leaning very close towards her. Kaito and Aoko share good chemistry while walking home from school during the sunset. Heist: The Moonlight Eye We see young Kaito and Aoko watching Toichi Kuroba's magic show. Kaito remembers something from this time that his father told him about using a Poker Face which aids him in his confrontation with Jii.
2	Kaitou Kid's Busy Date	August 6, 2011
While stealing the Angel Crown, Inspector Nakamori catches a glimpse of Kaito's face while in his disguise as Kaitou Kid. Determined to prove to her father Kaito isn't Kid, Aoko convinces Kaito to go on a date with her to Tropical Land at the same time Kid's next heist is to take place. If Kaito is caught by Aoko leaving from Tropical Land or if Kid never shows up for the heist, Kaito's identity will be exposed! Can Kaito manage to go on the date with Aoko and complete the Kid heist at the same time? First appearance of Keiko Momoi. Inspector Nakamori and Aoko have their first suspicions that Kaito might be Kaitou Kid. Aoko convinces Kaito to take her on a date to Tropical Land in an attempt to prove to her father (and to herself) that Kaito isn't Kid. Heist: The Angel Crown
3	The Princess Prefers Magic	August 13, 2011
Princess Anne of the Duchy of Sabrina visits Japan along with her trigger-happy bodyguard Inspector Delon. While in Japan, Anne longs to meet Kaitou Kid while Delon plans to put an end to Kid once and for all. Inspector Nakamori worries that Delon will succeed and he'll lose his job chasing Kid and dream of capturing him. Kid's next heist is Princess Anne's jewel, Beaucoup de Soleil à Paris, which Anne plans to wear at a party. Can Kaito manage to steal the jewel, make Anne's wishes come true, make Nakamori look good, and manage to survive an encounter with Delon? Noticing Aoko seems depressed and worried about her father lately, Kaito puts together a plan to make Inspector Nakamori look good during a Kid heist. Kaito is relieved to see Aoko back to her usual self after his plan succeeds. Heist: Beaucoup de Soleil à Paris
4	The Witch That Doesn't Shed Tears	September 24, 2011
Akako Koizumi, a witch attending Kaito's school, is furious to discover that there's only one man in the world who can resist her charms: Kaitou Kid. It's Valentine's Day so all the girls in school are giving chocolates to boys they care about. Kaito notices a bunch of boys surrounding Akako and decides to ask her for a chocolate. Akako tells Kaito she'll give him one...if he throws away all of the others he's received. Kaito declines leading Akako to realize that since he managed to escape her charm, he must be the Kaitou Kid. Akako decides that if she can't have Kaito fall in love with her, then no one shall have him and plots Kid's demise on top of the Tokyo Sky Tree after a heist. Can Kaito survive his heist and Akako's threat? First appearance of Akako Koizumi. Akako becomes aware of Kid's true identity through her witchcraft and process of elimination. 5	The Blue Birthday of Fate	October 29, 2011
Aoko is upset because her father, Inspector Nakamori, will miss her birthday because he needs to chase Kid as Kid attempts to steal India's largest sapphire, The Blue Birthday. Kaito cheers her up by promising he'll perform a magic show at her birthday party. Kid successfully steals the Blue Birthday only to be stopped in his escape by a man named Snake who reveals that he killed Toichi Kuroba, the original Kaitou Kid, eight years ago. Will Kid escape this situation alive and make it to Aoko's party in time? First appearance of Snake. After his confrontation with Snake, Kaito loudly proclaims as Kid that he'll find Pandora and destroy it before Snake and his group have a chance to use it. From this point onwards he targets big jewels that could potentially be the doublet gem Pandora when held up to the moonlight. Despite not making it to the party Kaito makes good on his promise by lighting up an entire skyscraper to say "Happy Birthday Aoko!" and shooting fireworks into the sky, much to Aoko's delight. Heist: The Blue Birthday It is revealed that Snake is responsible for Toichi's death and that Snake knew that Toichi Kuroba was the Kaitou Kid. However, luckily for Kaito, Snake thinks Toichi somehow survived and that the Kid standing before him is the same one from eight years ago.
