  There was a rumor that there has been a medieval suit of armor walking by itself at night there. And sinceRan was curious, she forced Kogoro and Conan to accompany her there. While in the museum, they met the curator of the museum, Ochiai who told them that the museum will be closing soon as it was going to be demolished by its owner, Mr Manaka. As the were chatting, the curator noticed one of the staff, Kubota, handling a painting without gloves and hence scolded him. He then told a colleague, Iijma, to take over Kubota's job. Kubota then picked up a trolley of armour and started pushing it before accidentally dropping the helmet. He was nagged by the owner and after the owner left, he showed his annoyance by banging it on the floor after picking it up.

  Kogoro, Ran and Conan decided to visit the different galleries of the museum. As they were about to go home, Ran noticed that the closed sign on one of the gallery which she hasn't entered,The Hell Gallery, was no longer there and decided to enter it. The gallery was dimly lit and upon their entrance, their attention was grabbed by the gigantic painting hung before them called "The Wrath of Heaven" . As Kogoro and Conan was still admiring the artwork, Ran noticed a dead body pinned onto the wall with a sword. In no time, the Inspector Megure arrived and along with Kogoro and Conan, they checked the surveillance camera installed in the gallery.
