After the police arrived, Yamamura suspected Sonoko of committing the crime because traces of poison was found on her gloves. But later Conan used the stun-gun wristwatch to stun Sonoko in order to solve the case. In the end, Fumihiro Azuma, the captain, was found to be the culprit. The reason he took his revenge on Goto was because during practice, Goto "accidentally" tripped him, causing injury, and so Azuma was unable to compete. Azuma poisoned Goto by putting poison in the palm of his gloves. Goto received the poison after giving Azuma a high five.

Situation

Ran and Sonoko brought Conan to an indoor tennis court. While Ran and Sonoko are playing tennis, Conan goes to the bathroom. As he is leaving, he hears a slap from the next room. He peeks into the room and see's a man named Takao Goto and a woman named Yuka Tsuchida arguing. Apparently Yuka is angry that Goto invited Sonoko as she thinks he wants to ditch her for Sonoko. As he apparently fixes everything up with her he leaves. She starts kicking the lockers saying, "Don't you dare leave me!" Meanwhile, Ran is looking for Conan where she meets one of the spectators named Fumihiro Azuma, who tells her he went to the restroom. Goto collapses in the middle of the match due to poisoning and is rushed to the hospital. Who is the culprit?
