Masao Shiomi (塩見 正雄 Shiomi Masao) is a character in the anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
Masao Shiomi is a trucker from Tokyo who lives with a wife and a child. He works for an unknown transportation company and also works in horse transport. During a case, the horse he was transporting for his client Kozo Tokuyoshi, White Spirits was kidnapped. He reveals that he swapped the horse with another since his wife and child were threatened. Since his statement seemed fishy, Kogoro and Conan investigated and found out that he and three other employees of Tokuyoshi stables had hatched a plan to saved White Spirits from being manhandled by his owner and that the threatening of his wife and child was fake. At the end of the case, Tokuyoshi is arrested for his evils and the four employees get to reunite and watch a race with White Spirits.

Shiomi is someone who likes animals and can't let them get killed so he accepted to join in the deal with the other three to save White Spirits.
Appearance
Shiomi is a short person person and a little overweight. He wears black work clothes and grey pants and wears horse riding boots when he works in horse transport. He has gray hair in buzz cut.

Thoroughbred Kidnapping Case (Anime: 933-934)
In the case, he is the driver who is supposed to transport White Spirits to another ranch but the horse gets kidnapped. As suspicion falls on him, he reveals he was threatened by someone to exchange trucks with them. While Kogoro and Conan investigate, they find out it was in fact a plan hatched by him and three other people to save White Spirits and that Tokuyoshi, the owner, used the fact he knew about the plan to put his plan into execution. When the truth is revealed, Shiomi and the others go cry over White Spirits since he is safe and later watch a horse race which White Spirits win.
