- It's possible he is Maria Higashio. After her first appearance, she reappears at the introduction of Rumi Wakasa, who can be related with Koji Haneda's case, and the case which revealed the boss' identity is about her. If it's him the old man in file 1090, the respirator could be a collateral effect returning to himself.
- Examining Eiji Kaneko's chip in episode 805, Conan and Haibara are surprised to see someone. Conan asks her if she has seen him before, and Haibara responds that she doesn't know him, but she'll look it up and Conan thanks her. Judging her behavior, he could be the boss, whom the cameraman was interested in for some reason.
- The unknown person found by the movie 7's culprit in internet to buy the stolen Buddha statue could be the boss.
