Tomoko Suzuki (鈴木 次郎吉 Suzuki Tomoko ), known in the Funimation English dub as Selma Sebastian, is a character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan.

Background
She is Shiro Suzuki's wife and Sonoko's mother, and the matriarch of the second wealthiest family after Renya Karasuma.
Personality
She speaks very formally. For example, she uses watakushi for self pronoun and anata for you. Despite this, she was shown to be extremely selfish. In her first appearance, she create a lots of copies from black star, but she didn't want to give real one to anyone. In her second appearance, she asked Makoto is he ready to burden Suzuki family legacy, despite he was only a high-school student. She also finds her daughter Sonoko embarrassing for family name, but she shown to have better personality like she take a liking to Makoto and also saying he is good for teasing.

Relationship analysis
Sonoko Suzuki
She seems to see Sonoko an embarrassment for Suzuki family name. Since her elder daughter is married in Tomizawa family, she wants to become sure that Sonoko's partner can handle Suzuki family. She also got angry of Sonoko about Makoto.
Makoto Kyogoku
She doesn't approve Sonoko's choice for Makoto, but after he show her his serious personality and fighting skills, she seems to take liking to him thinking he is good for teasing.
