Studio Wanpack
Studio Wanpack (スタジオワンパック Sutajio Wanpakku ) is a Japanese animation studio used for outsourcing.
The studio joined the production for the anime in 2009, this brought tons of animation director staffs into the production team. For example, the first time when the animators from Studio Wanpack joined Detective Conan was episode 522, Masakazu Yamazaki and Shunryo Yamamura - However, they did not perform well enough as the characters from their hands were severely out of shape.
After that, Studio Wanpack introduced several animation directors such as Aki Kumata, Yumiko Ishi and Kana Miyai. In the meantime, staffs such as Masakazu Yamazaki and Kana Miyai quited the studio. After several episodes, the quality of their work obviously rose.
After their return in the middle of 2013, Studio Wanpack started to participate in the production regularly. Akane Imada replaced Miho Tanaka as an animation director for Studio Wanpack as Miho became an assistant animation director after that. Yui Ushinohama, who was initially an assistant animation director, then replaced Akane Imada for the role. After that, the quality of their work increased a lot.
Unfortunately, the morning sun never last a day. On 2nd January, 2018, the chairman of Studio Wanpack Hirotsugu Yamada passed away, thus, on 1st of Febuary it was officially announced that a twenty four-year-old studio has been dismissed. On the same day, Yui Ushinohama declared on her twitter account that episode 895 would be the last time that Studio Wanpack participate the production of the anime under the name of production cooperation.
Although the studio is now dismissed, some of the past members joined TMS Entertainment or being a freelancer for further Detective Conan anime production, like Yui Ushinohama and Hiroaki Takagi.
