Aki Kumada (熊田 亜輝 Kumada Aki ) is a Japanese animator. He does key animation and animaton director in Detective Conan anime. He was formerly affiliated with Studio Wanpack.
Works in Detective Conan
Kumada's first participation in the Detective Conan anime was in 2005, in which he served as key animator for the 2nd part of Sword of the Eight-Headed Serpent.
In 2009, Kumada returned to the anime production team, but this time, under the name of Studio Wanpack. In which he served as key animator and animation director under the episodes done by the studio. His drawing quality was apparently higher than the fellow animators affiliated with Studio Wanpack at that time. After 2012, Kumada's involvement in the Detective Conan had lowered significantly, which he was only involved in the key animation production of six anime episodes. In 2018, due to Studio Wanpack had gotten disbanded, Kumada completely quit the Detective Conan anime production.
