Koshiro Mikami (三上 幸四郎 Mikami Kōshirō ), from Tottori, is a Japanese screenplay writer that specializes in detective series.
After graduating from university, he worked for a company that developed the city's banking system for three years, then became a scriptwriter after resignation. In 1995, he debuted in Tales of the Unusual: Autumn Special Edition (世にも奇妙な物語 秋の特別編) for screenplay. Apart from TV drama, and cartoons, he also wrote some game scripts. Currently, he is teaching scriptwriting in Amusement Media Academy.
In 2023, He won the Edogawa Rampo Prize, which is the highest award in the mystery fiction industry in Japan, for his work Birds of the Sky (蒼天の鳥たち), and became the second Detective Conan screenwriter who won the prize, after Hisashi Nozawa.[1]
